Pentecost and beyond

The Feast of Pentecost takes place fifty days (Greek pentekosti, ‘the fiftieth day’) after Easter Day. It ends the Easter Season, and commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, and the gift of the Spirit as the Paraclete or ‘Comforter’ of the world. All services include a warm welcome and some refreshment to follow.
